September 2025

Well, the summer is over and the exhibition at home in July is a distant memory. I managed to raise £1500 for two charities: The Book Trust and Doc+Bike. The Book Trust provides books for children who have none. Doc+Bike works with the Air Ambulance service in providing fast response motorbike medics (often doctors) who can get to accidents, especially when involving motorcyclists, fast.

The summer was a bit quiet as far as personal art work was concerned. I managed some sketch book work while on holiday but little else. However late August and early September has got me back into the studio. I seem to be working more and more with pastels. I have put a couple of pastel paintings in the portfolio (Godafoss waterfall in Iceland and Performance, based on a rock concert).

I am off on a pastel painting course in Devon in November which should inspire me further. Having been rather negligent in updating this newsletter, I will do my best to post more before Christmas. Yes… Christmas! My Christmas card is painted and printed. Given the cost of stamps I suspect many cards will be hand-delivered.

Thank you to all who supported my exhibition and to all, enjoy the Autumn colours.
