July 2024 News Update
I am off on a cruise around the British Isles and hope to sketch the coastline in preparation for studio works on my return. There may also be an opportunity to sketch in Iceland, which should be dramatic. My plan is to concentrate on pastel works when I get back in the studio. As soon as I can I will post some new images on this website.
June 2024 News Update
After a long holiday in Australia, I found it difficult to get into the creative mood again but, as the weather finally begins to improve, I am back in the studio.
My nephew in Brisbane asked for a couple of large canvases to decorate a wall in his new apartment. I duly produced two black and white acrylic paintings of Brisbane. They measured 90cm x 60cm. They were carefully packaged and sent to Australia via a well-known courier company. Unfortunately, the canvases were damaged in transit; the wooden supports for the canvases were snapped! The artwork was insured and eventually the insurers agreed to pay for the repair work. Fortunately, the actual paintings were not damaged. I have put two images in the gallery.
