Welcome to

Ron Hoile’s Art

Welcome to my web site. I am a retired surgeon and an examiner in Anatomy for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.  I practised in Kent, and am now a busy part- time artist. At school, in the 1960’s I was forced to give up art in order to concentrate on the sciences. I began drawing and painting again in 2001, at the age of 57. My main tutor has been Nick Tidnam PRBA, although I have received help from many others, such as Roger Jones, Christine Russell, Mitch Waite, Brian Steventon, Paul Weaver, David Paskett, Tony Allain and many others. Art helps me relax and provides a means to raise money for charity. In the last 23 years I have donated a total of over £35,000.  To read more about these charities and me, please read the About Me page.
