Winter has gone (more or less), Spring is here and the Summer is not far away. So it is nearly time for my next art exhibition. This will be held at home as usual on Sunday 16th July.
This year I am supporting two charities, both of which have some personal meaning to Patsy & me.
Last year a friend, Sam Richmond, was killed in a boating accident. He was only in his 30’s and left a wife and two children. Sam was a great supporter of the Scaramouche Trust, which is why I will be supporting it.
The Scaramouche Trust & Greig City Academy enables students, who would never otherwise get afloat, to reach the heights of sailing whilst achieving better academic results.
My other chosen charity is Horatio’s Garden. Horatio’s Garden builds beautiful gardens in NHS Spinal Units and, as a good friend and colleague spent the best part of a year in the spinal unit at Salisbury, this seemed a very worthwhile charity to support.
The exhibition will feature drawings, sketches & paintings from various locations. Proceeds from the exhibition will go towards supporting the two charities shown above.
Let’s hope for good weather. Those attending can enjoy a glass of wine (or something soft) in the garden, view the art work, buy a painting or sketch, maybe buy some correspondence or Christmas cards or simply leave a donation.
