News for July 2020
Well things have not gone according to plan thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic! My wife and I did go on our trip to Hong Kong, Australia and Sri Lanka. I did some sketching whilst away but then the UK lockdown occurred and the trip to Andalucia was cancelled. During the lockdown I concentrated on practising watercolours (which I find challenging) and branched out with big canvases and acrylics. I have put some pictures of my efforts in the portfolio. Sadly I had to cancel my exhibition at home raising money for Haematology Cancer Care and St. Raphaels Hospice as we could not manage the social distancing at home. I hope to have an exhibition in July 2021. To compensate, I have been selling paintings directly to anyone who expressed an interest and have developed something of a niche market with cartoons. I hope to be able to send some £1200 to my charities despite cancelling the exhibition. Similarly the activities of the RAG art group have been suspended but we are slowly reforming and hope to be active by late September. Enjoy the summer.
